Our COVID-19 Response

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Indian Red Cross Society Kaliganj Block Branch stepped up to provide critical support to our community. From March 2020 to November 2021, we conducted 15 major programs to ensure the safety and well-being of the people in our region.

Our dedicated volunteers worked tirelessly through lockdowns, managing quarantine centers, organizing blood donation camps, providing oxygen support, and facilitating vaccination programs to help our community navigate through these challenging times.

Blood Donation Camps

Organized multiple blood donation camps during the pandemic, even during "Janata Curfew" to ensure blood supply.

Established oxygen parlor with concentrators and cylinders during the critical oxygen shortage period.

Vaccination Program Support

Facilitated vaccination programs at BDO office, Red Cross Bhavan, and Rural Hospital.

Blood Donation Camp - Janata Curfew

Organized blood donation camp at Bhaga Primary School during "Janata Curfew" with 74 blood donors participating.

Served dry and nutritious foods to expectant mothers of distressed families during the lockdown period.

Free Medical Check-up Program

Organized comprehensive medical check-up at Kaliganj Satyacharan Girls High School with Nivedita Nursing Home, serving 170 people with Blood Sugar and Echocardiography tests.
